Health Data for All of Us: A Public Dialogue on AI in Health
HDRN Canada’s hosted its third annual hybrid public forum in Ottawa and online in 2025. The forum brought together researchers, community groups, members of the public and policymakers for engaging dialogue about the emerging ethical, equity, and privacy challenges of artificial intelligence as it relates to health and health data.

Health Data for All of Us: Earning Trust through Transparency
HDRN Canada’s second public forum took place in Montreal and online in 2024. Speakers explored the importance, necessity and complexity of building and maintaining public trust in health data access and use, highlighting the need for patient-centred data practices, the inclusion of sex and gender in data, ongoing engagement with public partners, and respect for Indigenous data sovereignty.

Health Data for All of Us: Sharing Ideas & Priorities
HDRN Canada hosted its inaugural public forum in Winnipeg and online in 2023 to generate dialogue among members of the public, researchers and other stakeholders about their priorities for and challenges to data-intensive health research. Discussion topics focused on the importance of public input into health data collection, sharing and use, with overarching themes of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility.
